The advance in neuroscience and neuropsychology is rapidly deepening our understanding of how the brain works and the impact this has on our well-being, behaviours, attitudes and assumptions. No model, system or online profiling tool is the ‘truth’ - there is a preponderance of theories not supported by facts - but brain science, especially the fMRI scans, are increasingly providing insights into why we feel, think and behave as we do.
Our transformational coaching work in this area often deals with challenging, deep seated, beliefs, prejudices and assumptions and in raising self-awareness.
For some clients, a personality or behavioural profile is a useful starting point. It allows a discussion about individual difference without judgement or assumption. It may shed light on why the client see’s themselves differently from how others see them.
