Crisp Professional Development, based in Exeter, has been delivering training, coaching and leadership development across the UK for over 25 years.

We partner with you to embrace the connection and dynamism between your people, creating movement with judgment-free, positive energy which will benefit your individuals, teams and your organisation as a whole.

We have a core head office team, supported by a carefully selected associate network of coaches, trainers and leadership development specialists. Some of our team have been with us since the beginning in 1990.  

2015, marked our 25th Anniversary - that's 25 years of delivering high quality training to businesses in the south west and beyond.  

Our turnover has increased by over 40% (compared to the previous 12 months) and we have exciting plans in place to support and maintain this level of growth.

Shaun Durham
Managing Director

Shaun has worked in the people consulting sector for seventeen years. He is the managing director and an executive coach. ILM and EMCC qualified and certified to deliver EQi2.0 emotional intelligence profiles, he leads on leadership development, coaching and is a passionate advocate of positive psychology. He is committed to on-going personal development and is receiving CPD from The Performance Coach. Outside of work, he is a keen coastal rower and holds black belts in Aikido and Tae Kwon Do.


Helen Gilzean
Head of People Development

Helen is Head of People Development for Crisp Professional Development and has been with the business for an impressive twenty years. She is an accomplished and experienced trainer, facilitator and consultant / mentor in her own right and has trained in the USA, China and throughout the UK and Ireland.  She oversees all of our in-house training and ILM accredited programmes. Outside of work Helen enjoys photography, travel, reading, learning to paint watercolours and walking her beloved dachshund.


Sam Durham

Sam is a Director and Head of Business Development for Crisp Professional Development.  With over twenty seven years of experience within sales & customer relationship management, Sam’s role is twofold; to identify new clients and to ensure that existing customers’ expectations are exceeded.  Outside of the office, Sam is a keen singer in a local community choir, a member of a bookclub and a regular yoga participant.  She can also be seen walking the family labradoodle throughout the beautiful Devon country/seaside.


Roselle Brenchley
Client Experience Manager

Roselle is our Client Experience Manager at Crisp Professional Development. She joins us with 10 years’ experience working in a variety of roles in education including events, recruitment and marketing. She has strategic and operational marketing experience and has worked within multiple management groups developing skills and processes as well as line managing and leading a team. Customer satisfaction is at the heart of everything she does. In her own time, she enjoys the great outdoors; walking her dogs, camping and spending time with her family.


Aileen Shipway
Marketing Manager

Aileen is our Marketing Manager and as such is responsible for producing much of our marketing literature from mailshots to blog articles.  She also oversees our social media strategy.  She has worked as a client relationship manager for many years, predominantly for management consultancies and training businesses.

Outside of work she enjoys being out and about in the glorious Devon countryside - walking and cycling.


Anneke Elliott
Business Support Manager

Anneke is our Business Support Manager. She has 10 years' experience with another training company, and previously 10 years with an international media company managing teams investigating equities data, analytics and product queries, and performing product and data acceptance testing. Anneke's role at Crisp Professional Development includes office and open course management, finance, as well as process management and general projects.

Outside of work, Anneke is nightly taxi-service to her two sporty and stage-loving boys. She’s a keen artist, coastal rower, runner and loves walking the country's beautiful coastal paths.

Nicci Hudson
Business Development Executive

Nicci joined Crisp recently as Business Development Executive following a long career in sales and management, predominantly within the travel industry.  In 2013 Nicci decided to bolster her work experience by returning to college to study an HND in Business – winning Student of the Year and passing with Distinction. Becoming a mature student ignited a passion for learning in her that she is now keen to pass on to others.  

Outside of work, Nicci likes to spend time with her young daughter and also enjoys cycling and exploring the gorgeous Devon countryside.
