Introducing our Charity of the Year for 2017
We're delighted to announce that our charity of the year for 2017 will be Children's Hospice South West.
Children's Hospice South West (CHSW) operate the only three children's hospices in the South West, Little Bridge House in North Devon, Charlton Farm near Bristol and Little Harbour in Cornwall. They provide hospice care - including respite and short breaks, emergency care, palliative care and end of life care - for children with life-limiting conditions and their families.
Naomi Dymond, Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser at Little Bridge House, recently came to visit us at Crisp HQ and talked us through the invaluable work they do in providing support to 400 families across the South West when their children are unwell.
What became apparent when speaking to Naomi was the amazing job these hospices do by not simply providing nursing and medical care for children, but also offering the entire family a safe, fun, happy space in which to build precious memories together.
As well as helping CHSW support families throughout 2017 via donations, we also fully intend to get involved (by which we mean participate...) in some of the many fantastic fundraising events they have coming up across the South West this year.
From running to cycling to trekking there are many events to choose from - click here to view their Events page - and below are two that immediately caught our eye:
Rainbow Run - the brightest 5k around! Walk, jog or run your way through 5k of colour explosions
Bubble Rush - a run, jog or walk through colourful bubble stations where foam cannons shower you in frothy bubbles!
Yes, we - and our families - will be getting fully involved. We'll be keeping you posted on our progress throughout 2017 with updates on events and photos.
If you or your organisation would like to get involved too, take a look at their website for inspiration. https://www.chsw.org.uk/
