ILM LEVEL 5 MANAGEMENT TRAINING PROGRAMME

L-3 is a prime contractor in aerospace systems and national security solutions.  L-3 is also a leading provider of a broad range of communication and electronic systems and products used on military and commercial platforms.

We identified 15 Supervisors and Managers either new to position or who would benefit from management and leadership development due to promotion or aspirations for career growth and development. Our main objective was to align to our Global strategy to develop Supervisors and Managers to deal with people they manage more effectively, particularly in the area of handling difficult discussions and performance management.

We required a series of workshops and learning interventions geared to address specific areas of underdevelopment. Some of our objectives included:

  • Understand their role as a Manager
  • To develop an understanding of the roles of the key functional specialists
  • To develop an awareness & understanding of the key principles of effective Management & Leadership
  • Conduct a self-assessment and create a Personal Development plan

After some research we decided to pursue the ILM L5 Award in Leadership & Management and offer it to the 15 managers all with different levels of experience and responsibilities. We wanted an accredited course to demonstrate to the attendees their value to the organisation and the level of investment the company was willing to make. Alongside that to provide a measureable outcome or ‘kudos’ for the attendees and those that report to them.

We chose Crisp Professional Development as they were recommended and further that having met them we felt a sense of security in their ability to deliver and work with our team on a very personal level. Helen Gilzean worked with our delegates on a one to one level supporting them through the course and accreditation and worked closely with me, keeping me informed and involved. The feedback about Helen and Bill Allen was outstanding.

We have since booked another training programme.

I would recommend Crisp Professional Development very highly.
