The P3 tool is an online talent management system that uses an assessment instrument to help companies hire and manage people who will perform well in their job. However, any time person-to-person or person-to-job fit is an issue, a P3 profile can help.

The Drake P3 is a personality assessment tool which takes the guesswork out of predicting performance by identifying behavioural compatibility for employee selection and team development.

It reveals a person's natural tendencies, communication styles, emotional intelligence, motivational needs, decision-making abilities, energy levels and more.

Drake P3® uses objective, scientifically-based data to highlight traits, communication, and motivational needs to predict workplace performance.

The result is a powerfully insightful behavioural profile, which maps out the individual's unique combination of 4 primary behavioural drivers:

Extroversion
Patience
Conformity

Who is P3 profiling for?

This is often the first profile we suggest for people new to behavioural profiling. It’s easy to complete and easy to understand. If you'd like to learn more about an individual’s communication style, motivational needs and personality type- and importantly how these might affect working style, you should consider using the P3 profiling tool coupled with a feedback session.

We offer P3 Profiling as an integral part of many of our training programmes. It works great for teams who want to understand each other better and improve communication.

How does it work?

The underlying theory supporting P3 maintains that individuals will respond with the greatest enthusiasm and fervour to adjectives which describe behaviour that is most similar and inherent to their own. Responses are translated via 14,000 mathematical calculations to determine the individual’s most favoured behavioural characteristic, which is identified as their dominant trait. Conversely, individuals will respond with the least enthusiasm to adjectives which are furthest from their own repertoire of behaviours – these responses ultimately depict the person’s low trait. The remaining two trait categories are represented by ‘intensities’ somewhere within the range created by the high and low traits.

The communication profile is written in clear, easy to understand language.

The candidate profile is competed online. There are four sections, each with guidelines. The profile takes between 7 and 10 minutes and on completion the candidate is presented with a profile summary. From this survey we can then generate a full 13-page communication profile.
