Mindfulness – an approach to life that leads to increase focus, reduced levels of stress and anxiety and enhanced wellbeing. This introductory course is intended for people who want to learn how to integrate mindfulness in their everyday lives. You will learn meditation and breathing exercises, and you will also discover that mindfulness can be part of routine activities at home and work.
Positive psychology is a scientific approach to studying human thoughts, feelings, and behavior, with a focus on strengths instead of weaknesses. It looks at three areas of our lives:
Positive experiences like happiness, joy, inspiration and love
Positive states and traits like gratitude, resilience and compassion
Positive institutions like organisations or governing systems
Resilience is our ability to recover or rebound from setbacks.
