LHC Design

LHC Design began as an architectural practice, Lacey Hickie & Caley in 1992, transforming in the early 2000s into today’s multi-disciplinary company with the addition of urban design and landscape architecture, and then interiors and graphic design. They work across the UK from studios based in Exeter, Plymouth and Cornwall. Click here to find out more about LHC.

Our relationship started in 2019 when LHC Design sent several delegates on to our open courses, using our learning credits. This led to more strategic discussions about how learning could play a part in the evolution and continued success of the practice, resulting in a leadership programme being agreed at the end of 2020.

With Covid-19 restrictions in place, the programme was delivered virtually over six sessions, covering topics such as self-awareness, emotional intelligence, leadership communication and team dynamics. More recently we have delivered face-to-face courses on Introduction to People Management and Stepping into Leadership,  facilitated team coaching sessions for the leadership team and provided 1-2-1 coaching support.

Graham Devine of LHC comments:

“We have valued the relationship we have built with Crisp and Shaun to help us grow the skills of our team across all levels of management. The feedback from our teams that have attended the sessions has been very positive and personally I have valued Shaun’s role, not only as a coach, but also facilitating and challenging the board at our own sessions. We look forward to working with Crisp to deliver further training.”

Shaun from Crisp adds;

“I really enjoy working with the people from LHC design …they are open to challenge, have insightful and good-humoured conversations and commit to making positive changes in service of their culture and their clients. It’s refreshing to work with an organisation that takes a ‘top down’ approach to learning. LHC recognise that the leaders set the behavioural and cultural tone for an organisation.  Being openminded, appreciative and willing to be vulnerable creates a positive and enabling culture.”
